NFC Business Cards

On average, ten billion business cards are printed each year, some of which end up in the landfill. You can now have digital NFC business cards printed on Recycled Plastic, Pulper, Wood or Cork to reduce waste and our dependence on natural resources. After programming your smart business cards, you’ll be able to spring your customers to the digital experiences you’ve made by simply tapping the card against their smartphone.

"Very good experience with the technology team! Highly recommend."

Smart wearables

Cashless payment for high-fliers

Access control and cashless payments were made using an NXP NTAG 215 chip in each participant’s recycled PET fabric wristband.

After collecting their wearable at one of the three entrances, the attendees were able to come and go to La Croisette, visit the bars and food trucks and pay with their wristband, either in advance or at the kiosks on the spot.

FAQs - Smart Business Cards

NFC tags are smart little chips that allow you to store digital information and can be read out contactless via NFC enabled smartphones and other NFC readers. They require no battery as they are powered by the reader’s electromagnetic field.
An NFC Forum tag is a contactless tag compatible to one of five NFC Forum Tag specifications capable of storing NDEF formatted data. The NFC Forum is a non-profit industry association formed to advance the use of NFC short-range wireless interaction.
All tag types defined by the NFC Forum are supported. NFC TagInfo can read tags of Tag Type 1 to 5, which contain valid NDEF messages.

Tag 2 Type:

NTAG 2xx product family, MIFARE Ultralight product family, NTAG 12C plus product family

Tag 4 Type:

MIFARE DESFire product family, NTAG 4xx product family

Tag 5 Type:

ICODE SLI product family, ICODE DNA, NTAG 5xx product family

NTAG products are factory preformatted to support the NDEF format. They also provide the functionality to facilitate programming of a large number of tags as well as advanced security features.
NDEF stands for NFC Forum Data Exchange Format. It defines a message encapsulation format to exchange information.

To benefit from the full functionality offered by NXP’s NTAG ICs, we suggest using NFC TagWriter by NXP from the app or play store. If you have a reader to hand or built into your laptop, NXP also offers TagXplorer, a desktop tool running on all JAVA-enabled machines (Windows, Mac, Linux).

For more information visit our developer’s section.

iOS allows only to read NDEF messages from NDEF formatted cards and tags. Android will allow you to scan the full information and NDEF message and will provide more advanced information.

Your card or tag might not be NDEF-formatted or contain a valid NDEF message. That is the reason why other contactless products, such as smartcards used in transport ticketing or NFC-enabled banking cards cannot be read with this device.
